What Is Bridgers in Gem Wallet?
What Is Bridgers?â
Bridgers is a cross-chain swap provider. Gem Wallet uses it to move assets from one blockchain to another, for example USDT on BNB Chain to USDC on Arbitrum, or ETH on Base to Bitcoin.
You don't select Bridgers yourself. When you swap, Gem Wallet compares quotes from all supported swap providers and shows Bridgers when it offers a route for your pair. You can see the provider on the swap screen before you confirm.
Supported Networksâ
Bridgers swaps start from one of 14 EVM networks. The same networks can also receive, along with five destination-only networks.
| Network | Swap from | Swap to | Assets |
|---|---|---|---|
| BNB Chain | â | â | BNB, USDC, USDT |
| Polygon | â | â | POL, USDC, USDT |
| Arbitrum | â | â | ETH, USDC, USDT |
| Avalanche C-Chain | â | â | AVAX, USDC, USDT |
| Optimism | â | â | ETH, USDC, USDT |
| Base | â | â | ETH, USDC |
| opBNB | â | â | BNB |
| Mantle | â | â | USDT0 |
| Linea | â | â | ETH, USDC.e |
| Celo | â | â | CELO, USDC, USDT |
| X Layer | â | â | OKB, USDT0 |
| Sonic | â | â | S |
| Robinhood Chain | â | â | ETH |
| HyperEVM | â | â | HYPE, USDC |
| Ethereum | â | â | ETH, USDC, USDT |
| Solana | â | â | SOL, USDC, USDT |
| Bitcoin | â | â | BTC |
| Litecoin | â | â | LTC |
| Dogecoin | â | â | DOGE |
Ethereum, Solana, Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Dogecoin can receive a Bridgers swap but can't start one. To swap from those networks, Gem Wallet uses other cross-chain providers when they have a route.
A listed pair only appears when Bridgers returns a live quote for it. Liquidity, amount limits, and route availability can change at any time.
Minimum and Maximum Amountsâ
Each Bridgers route has a minimum and maximum amount. If your amount is below the minimum, Gem Wallet shows the minimum on the swap screen so you can increase it. If it is above the maximum, Bridgers doesn't return a quote and Gem Wallet shows routes from other providers instead.
Bridgers also deducts a network fee for delivering to the destination chain. This fee is already included in the amount you receive in the quote.
Using Maxâ
Bridgers needs an exact amount. When you tap Max on a network coin such as BNB or ETH, Gem Wallet holds back an estimate for the network fee, and the confirmation screen then shows the final amount after the actual fee.
Token Approvalâ
When you swap a token such as USDT or USDC for the first time, Gem Wallet may first ask you to approve the Bridgers router to use that token. This approval and the swap are reviewed before you confirm. See What are Token Approvals?.
Before you sign, Gem Wallet checks the swap data returned by Bridgers, including the router, amounts, destination address, minimum amount received, and slippage.
How Long a Bridgers Swap Takesâ
The swap screen shows an estimated time from Bridgers, usually about 3, 10, or 30 minutes depending on the route. Swaps to Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Dogecoin depend on those networks' block times and can take longer.
Track a Bridgers Swapâ
- Open the swap in Activity.
- The status shows Pending while Bridgers delivers the funds, then Completed, Refunded, or Failed.
- Open the transaction details and use the Bridgers explorer link to see the order at explorer.bridgers.xyz.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pending | Your deposit was sent and Bridgers is processing the swap. |
| Completed | The funds were delivered to your address on the destination network. |
| Refunded | Bridgers couldn't complete the swap and returned the funds to your source address. See What Does a Refunded Cross-Chain Swap Mean?. |
| Failed | The order timed out on Bridgers' side. Check the explorer link, then contact Gem Wallet support with your transaction ID. |

Need Help With a Swap?â
Contact Gem Wallet support from Settings > Support in the app, and include the transaction ID of your swap. Before you share anything, read What Information Is Safe to Give Wallet Support?.
Gem Wallet support will never send you a direct message first, ask for your Secret Phrase or private key, or ask you to send funds to "fix" a swap. Anyone who does is a scammer.
