What Is STON.fi in Gem Wallet?

What Is STON.fi?

STON.fi is a decentralized exchange on The Open Network (TON). Gem Wallet routes same-chain swaps between TON and jettons through STON.fi v2 pools.

You don't select STON.fi yourself. When you swap, Gem Wallet compares quotes from all supported swap providers and shows STON.fi when it offers a route for your pair. The provider is shown on the swap screen before you confirm.

Supported Networks

Gem Wallet uses STON.fi for same-chain swaps on: TON.

Both assets must be on the same network. To move assets between networks, Gem Wallet uses a cross-chain provider.

note

A pair only appears when the provider returns a live quote for it. Liquidity, amount limits, and route availability can change at any time.

TON Swaps Can Bounce

On TON, a swap is a chain of messages between contracts. If the swap can't complete, for example because the price moved past your slippage, the swapped asset is usually returned to your wallet in a later message. Check your TON and jetton balances before contacting support.

If a STON.fi Swap Fails

A STON.fi swap is a single transaction on TON, so it either completes or fails as a whole. If it fails, the assets you were swapping stay in your wallet, but the network fee is still spent.

Common causes are a price move larger than your slippage setting, low liquidity for the pair, or not enough of the network's coin for the fee. See Why Was My Crypto Transaction Reverted? and What to Do When No Swap Quote Is Available.

Need Help With a Swap?

Contact Gem Wallet support from Settings > Support in the app, and include the transaction ID of your swap. Before you share anything, read What Information Is Safe to Give Wallet Support?.

warning

Gem Wallet support will never send you a direct message first, ask for your Secret Phrase or private key, or ask you to send funds to "fix" a swap. Anyone who does is a scammer.
