What Is Jupiter in Gem Wallet?
What Is Jupiter?â
Jupiter is the leading swap aggregator on Solana. It compares liquidity across Solana DEXs and routes your swap through the best path. Gem Wallet uses Jupiter for same-chain swaps between SOL and SPL tokens.
You don't select Jupiter yourself. When you swap, Gem Wallet compares quotes from all supported swap providers and shows Jupiter when it offers a route for your pair. The provider is shown on the swap screen before you confirm.
Supported Networksâ
Gem Wallet uses Jupiter for same-chain swaps on: Solana.
Both assets must be on the same network. To move assets between networks, Gem Wallet uses a cross-chain provider.
A pair only appears when the provider returns a live quote for it. Liquidity, amount limits, and route availability can change at any time.
Solana Account Rentâ
Receiving a token you haven't held before can create a new token account, which needs a small SOL deposit called rent. Keep a little SOL in your wallet for this and for the network fee. See What is Solana Rent?.
If a Jupiter Swap Failsâ
A Jupiter swap is a single transaction on Solana, so it either completes or fails as a whole. If it fails, the assets you were swapping stay in your wallet, but the network fee is still spent.
Common causes are a price move larger than your slippage setting, low liquidity for the pair, or not enough of the network's coin for the fee. See Why Was My Crypto Transaction Reverted? and What to Do When No Swap Quote Is Available.
Need Help With a Swap?â
Contact Gem Wallet support from Settings > Support in the app, and include the transaction ID of your swap. Before you share anything, read What Information Is Safe to Give Wallet Support?.
Gem Wallet support will never send you a direct message first, ask for your Secret Phrase or private key, or ask you to send funds to "fix" a swap. Anyone who does is a scammer.
