What to Do When No Swap Quote Is Available

Gem Wallet requests live quotes from every eligible provider for the selected wallet, assets, networks, amount, direction, and slippage. A quote error means no usable result is currently available for that complete request.

No blockchain transaction has been submitted when the error appears on the Swap screen before confirmation.

Check the Error Type

The screen can represent several different conditions:

  • No quote available β€” eligible providers returned no usable route.
  • No available provider β€” no integrated provider supports the selected route.
  • Minimum amount β€” a provider requires a larger input and can report the required amount.
  • Unsupported asset or network β€” the selected asset or chain is not eligible for that route.
  • Offline β€” the device cannot reach the quote services.
  • Provider or route error β€” a provider timed out, rejected the request, or returned invalid route data.

Use the exact message shown in Gem Wallet when deciding what to change.

Reproduce the Quote Request Safely

These steps do not submit a transaction:

  1. Open Gem Wallet and select Swap.
  2. Select the pay and receive assets and verify both networks.
  3. Enter an amount.
  4. Wait for all eligible providers to finish responding.
  5. Record the displayed error or minimum amount.
  6. Select Try Again or Retry when offered.
  7. Leave the screen without selecting Swap if you are only testing the quote.

After a failed request, automatic quote refresh stops until you retry or change the request. Waiting without taking either action may leave the same error on screen.

If a Minimum Amount Is Displayed

Gem Wallet can offer Use Minimum Amount when the provider reports a valid minimum that your balance can cover.

Before using it:

  1. Check that the minimum is shown in the pay asset you selected.
  2. Confirm that your available balance covers the amount and required network fee.
  3. Select Use Minimum Amount only if you intend to swap that amount.
  4. Review the new quote from the beginning.

If the reported minimum exceeds the available balance, the swap cannot proceed with that provider and route.

Verify the Asset and Network

Tokens with the same symbol can exist on different networks and have different contract addresses. Verify:

  • Full asset name and symbol.
  • Source and destination networks.
  • Token contract address where applicable.
  • That the receiving wallet supports the destination asset.

Provider support for one version of USDT or USDC does not imply support for every network deployment.

Retry the Current Request

For an offline, timeout, or temporary provider error:

  1. Confirm that the device has a stable connection.
  2. Select Retry.
  3. If the error repeats, change the amount slightly to create a new request.
  4. Check again later if provider liquidity or service availability is temporarily limited.

Gem Wallet asks all eligible providers for live data; it does not reuse a cached quote as the executable result.

Try Another Amount or Pair

If no route exists:

  • Enter an amount within the displayed minimum and your available balance.
  • Reduce a very large amount that produces excessive price impact or insufficient liquidity.
  • Choose a more liquid receive asset.
  • Verify whether the reverse direction is independently supported.

Changing the amount, asset pair, or slippage clears the previous result and requests new quotes.

Do not raise slippage automatically to fix No Quote Available. Slippage controls acceptable execution movement; it cannot make an unsupported provider or route available.

Choose Another Provider

The provider selector appears only when more than one valid quote was returned. If at least one quote remains available, open Provider and compare the current routes.

If no provider returned a quote, there is no provider list to select from. Change the request or retry instead. See How to Select a Swap Provider.

The Error Appeared on the Confirmation Screen

The confirmation screen refreshes an old quote with the same selected provider: after approximately one minute for a same-network swap or five minutes for a cross-chain swap.

If that provider no longer returns a route, Gem Wallet shows an error and Retry. It does not silently replace the provider while you are confirming.

Retry or return to the Swap screen, obtain a current quote, and review all details again. Never send funds manually to an address from an expired quote.

When to Contact Support

Update Gem Wallet and contact Settings > Support if a normally supported route repeatedly fails. Provide:

  • Pay and receive assets, networks, and token contracts.
  • Input amount and slippage setting.
  • Exact error message.
  • Providers shown before the error, if any.
  • App version and device platform.
  • Redacted screenshot of the Swap screen.

Never provide your recovery phrase or private key.
