How to Read and Filter Activity in Gem Wallet
What Activity Showsâ
The Activity tab lists everything the selected wallet has sent, received, swapped, staked, or traded, newest first. Transactions are grouped under Today, Yesterday, or the date.
Each row shows:
- Type, such as Sent, Received, Swap, Stake, or Smart Contract.
- Asset with its logo and network badge.
- Amount and its value.
- A Pending badge while the network hasn't confirmed it yet.
Activity only shows the selected wallet. To see another wallet's history, switch wallets first.
Pending Transactionsâ
A new transaction appears right away as Pending. Gem Wallet keeps tracking it, even after you close the app, and updates its status and your balances when the network settles it. The final status is Successful, or Failed if the network rejected or reverted it. See Understanding Transaction Status.
Transaction Detailsâ
Tap a row to open its details:
- Header: the amount and its value.
- Date and Status.
- Recipient or Sender: tap the address to see it in full, copy it, or check its name. A flagged address shows a Suspicious address warning.
- Network Fee: what you paid. See How to Check a Transaction's Final Network Fee.
- Memo, if there is one.
- View on: opens the transaction in the network's block explorer.
For a swap, the details also show its progress and a Swap Again button.
How to Filter Activityâ
- Open Activity.
- Tap the filter icon.
- Choose Networks to show only some blockchains, or Types to show only some kinds of transactions.
- Tap Done. Tap Clear to remove all filters.
The Types filter groups transactions like this:
| Type | Includes |
|---|---|
| Transfer | Sends and receives, including NFTs |
| Swap | Swaps and the token approvals they need |
| Stake | Staking, unstaking, rewards, and Earn deposits and withdrawals |
| Smart Contract | Contract calls that don't match another type. See Why Does a Transaction Show as Smart Contract? |
| Perpetuals | Opening, changing, and closing perpetual positions |
| Other | Everything else, such as activating an asset on networks that require it |
If nothing matches, Activity shows No activities found. Clear the filters to see everything again.
Why a Transaction Isn't in Activityâ
- It's in another wallet. Check that the right wallet is selected.
- A filter is on. Clear the filters.
- The token isn't recognized. To keep spam out, the Activity tab leaves out transactions of tokens Gem Wallet doesn't recognize, such as unverified airdrops.
- It's still on its way. An incoming transfer shows once the network has it. For swaps, see Why Is My Completed Swap Missing from Activity?
- A transaction paid several addresses. On some networks, a transaction that sends to many addresses at once, such as an exchange payout, may not show your part yet. Check the explorer.
You can always check an address's full history on the network's block explorer. See How to Find a Crypto Transaction ID.
