Receive Crypto in Gem Wallet
How to Receive Crypto in Gem Walletβ
Receiving cryptocurrency in Gem Wallet is a simple and secure process. Whether youβre receiving funds from an exchange, another wallet, or a friend, follow these steps to ensure a smooth transaction. Always double-check your wallet address and network compatibility, before sharing to avoid errors.
Obtain Your Gem Wallet Addressβ
For this guide, we will be getting some ATOM tokens from Binance which acts as the sender of the crypto. Anyone can send crypto to your wallet, as long as they know the address.
Launch the Gem Wallet app and navigate to the specific crypto that you want to receive. If the token is not visible, ensure it is enabled in your wallet. Here are some guides that you can refer to:
Tap on "Receive" to display your wallet address.
You can either:
- Copy the wallet address and share it with the sender.
- Use the QR code for quick scanning by the sender.
When sending tokens to Gem Wallet, ensure that you are using the correct network!
For example:
- USDT (ERC-20) requires an Ethereum address (ETH).
- USDT (TRC-20) requires a TRON address (TRX).
- USDT (BEP-20) requires a Binance Smart Chain (BNB) address.
Send Crypto to Gem Walletβ
In this scenario, we assume that you are the sender of the crypto and that you have a Binance account. Log in to the app or the Binance website to initiate the transfer.
Click on "Wallet", then select "Fiat and Spot". Choose the cryptocurrency you want to withdraw, then click on "Withdraw".
Paste the Gem Wallet address you copied into the "Address" field. Choose the correct "Network" to withdraw your crypto to.
Enter the amount of cryptocurrency you want to send then tap on "Withdraw". Confirm that you are sending your crypto to a wallet that does not require a Memo.
If the exchange you are sending from requires a Destination Tag or Memo, it does not matter what information you put in. Put in a number or a message, that is fine.
Review the transaction details to ensure everything is correct. Confirm the withdrawal and complete any required verification steps (e.g., email or 2FA verification).
Wait for Confirmationβ
Once the sender initiates the transfer, the transaction will be processed by the blockchain. You can check the transaction status in your wallet history or track it using a blockchain explorer. Every cryptocurrency has its own unique blockchain explorer which you can find here.
Transaction times may vary depending on network congestion. Congratulations, you have successfully received crypto on your Gem Wallet from Binance.

What if the Funds Don't Show Up?β
If you donβt see the received amount in your wallet:
- Ask the sender for a transaction ID or any proof that a transfer was made to your address.
- Check if the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain using a blockchain explorer.
- Ensure the correct network was used (e.g., sending a TRC-20 token to an ERC-20 address wonβt work).
- Manually enable the token in Gem Wallet if it's not showing in your asset list.
