Sending Crypto that require Network Feesβ
Certain blockchain networks require specific native tokens to cover transaction fees. You may encounter error messages such as "Insufficient XXX," which is a common issue related to inadequate funds for transaction fees. To prevent this error and ensure seamless transactions, verify that you have sufficient funds to cover the network fees.
Here are some examples:
- Binance Smart Chain (BNB): BNB is required for transaction fees when sending BEP-20 tokens.
- TRON (TRX): TRX is required to pay for transaction fees when sending TRC-20 tokens such as USDT on the TRON network.
- The Open Network (TON): You need TON to cover fees when sending Jettons, the native token standard on the TON blockchain.
Sending Crypto To A Domain Name Service (DNS) Nameβ
Gem Wallet fully supports sending cryptocurrency to a Domain Name Service (DNS) Name, making transactions easier by allowing you to send funds to a human-readable address (like gem-wallet.eth) instead of a long wallet address. Ensure the DNS name is correctly linked to the recipientβs wallet address to avoid errors.

Do I Need a Memo when Sending from Gem Wallet?β
The need for a "Memo" depends on the recipient's platform. If the recipient is a centralized exchange, you may need to include a Memo, Destination Tag, or similar identifier to ensure the funds are correctly credited to your account. Before initiating the transfer, carefully verify all necessary details, such as the receiving address and any required tags, to avoid delays or loss of funds.
Here are some examples from centralized exchanges:
Always confirm the specific requirements of the receiving platform, as errors in this information can lead to complications. For added security, consider sending a small test transaction when dealing with a new recipient.
