How do I cash out or withdraw to my bank?
Gem Wallet is a non-custodial wallet. This means you control your crypto, private keys, and transactions. Gem Wallet does not hold your funds like an exchange, and it does not directly process bank withdrawals.
To cash out crypto to a bank account or payment method, you need to use a third-party fiat provider available in the app. These providers handle the sell order, identity verification, supported payment methods, and fiat payout.
Gem Wallet does not store your payment details, approve KYC, process bank transfers, or decide which countries are supported. Cash-out availability depends on the selected fiat provider.
How to Cash Out in Gem Walletâ
- Open Gem Wallet.
- Select the crypto asset you want to sell.
- Tap Buy, then choose the Sell tab if it is available.
- Enter the amount you want to sell.
- Choose a fiat provider and follow the provider's instructions.
- Complete any required identity verification.
- Transfer or approve the crypto sale.
- Wait for the provider to send the fiat funds to your bank account or payment method.
For the full step-by-step guide, see How to Sell Crypto with Gem Wallet.
Why don't I see a Sell option?â
The Sell option may not appear for several reasons:
- The selected crypto asset is not supported for selling.
- No fiat provider supports your country or region.
- The available provider does not support your bank or payment method.
- The provider has temporary maintenance, service limits, or no available quote.
- Your transaction amount is below or above the provider's allowed limits.
Why is my country or region not supported?â
Fiat providers are regulated financial services. They must follow local laws, licensing rules, sanctions rules, and compliance requirements. Because of this, some countries or regions may not be supported.
If selling is unavailable in your country, Gem Wallet cannot manually enable it. You can check again later, try another supported asset, or use a regulated exchange that operates in your region.
Who can help with a bank withdrawal issue?â
If your sell order was already created with a fiat provider, contact that provider for issues such as:
- KYC or identity verification
- Rejected payment method
- Bank transfer delay
- Missing fiat payout
- Provider transaction limits
- Refunds or cancelled orders
Gem Wallet support can help you understand how to use the app, but the fiat provider controls the cash-out order and bank payout.
What if no provider is available?â
If no provider is available in Gem Wallet, you can send your crypto to a regulated exchange or service that supports your country, sell it there, and withdraw fiat from that platform.
Before sending funds to an exchange, always confirm:
- The exchange supports your country.
- The exchange supports the exact crypto and network you are sending.
- Your deposit address, network, and memo or destination tag are correct.
- You have enough native coin for network fees.
