How to Migrate your Bitcoin (BTC) from BlueWallet to Gem Walletâ
This guide shows a live BlueWallet for educational purposes. We will migrate a BTC address that is on BlueWallet to Gem Wallet.

Step 1 - Get BlueWallet Recovery Phraseâ
In order to migrate your BlueWallet to Gem Wallet, you need to get your Recovery Phrase. You can follow this official guide from BlueWallet on how to backup or export a wallet.
Always make sure that your Recovery Phrase is secure, do not share it with anyone.
Step 2 - Launch Gem Walletâ
Launch Gem Wallet app and tap on Import an Existing Wallet. Choose the specific blockchain you are trying to restore.
For this example, we will restore a Bitcoin Wallet which is what BlueWallet currently supports.
Step 3 - Type/Paste Recovery Phraseâ
Manually type in or paste your BlueWallet Recovery Phrase. Afterwards, tap on Import.

Gem Wallet uses the same wallet encryption of BlueWallet. This allows anyone to safely restore the Recovery Phrase of BlueWallet to Gem Wallet. The migrated wallet will have the same BTC address from BlueWallet.
