Osmosis (OSMO)

What is the Osmosis Zone?

Here are 5 key points about Osmosis (OSMO):

  • Osmosis operates as an automated market maker (AMM) decentralized exchange (DEX), allowing users to trade assets in a permissionless and non-custodial manner.

  • Built on the Cosmos SDK thus allowing it to integrate seamlessly with other blockchain networks within the Cosmos ecosystem.

  • Liquidity providers can contribute their assets to liquidity pools, rewarding them with transaction fees and yield farming incentives.

  • Osmosis features a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) governance system, allowing token holders to participate in decision-making processes and governance proposals.

  • OSMO, the native currency of the Osmosis Zone, is utilized for fees and as a governance token to vote on network upgrades, protocol changes, and ecosystem developments, shaping the future direction of the platform.
